The Christian
County YMCA
supports the intent and spirit of the Americans with disabilities
Act. Participants in wheelchairs
gain easy access at the east door of the facility either by the elevator
or ramped entrance. In addition,
patrons can also enjoy the Family
Aquatic Center
by using the wheel chair lift located in the lap pool or the 0’
depth entry. Lifeguards will be
present for assistance.

Membership Benefits
The YMCA is proud to provide the following benefits to

FREE babysitting – ages newborn to
six years old – for YMCA family members;
FREE walk-on racquetball court time
(except reserved time);
FREE walk-on tennis court time (except

FREE land and aquatic adult fitness
classes;
FREE youth basketball and soccer leagues
for Family Memberships; and
Member
registration period for 1-2 weeks prior to start of new program sessions.

Financial Assistance
The YMCA is an
organization dedicated to Christian principles and turns no person away
due to the inability to pay. If
you need assistance, the YMCA is here to help. Please contact Chris Weittenhiller, Executive Director
or Darlene Bouvet,
Membership Secretary for assistance.

- You
must present your current photo I.D. membership card each time you
use the facility.
- Lockers
are available. Always secure
your belongings in a locked locker.
Members/guests must bring a padlock to lock up valuables
while using the facility.
Padlocks are not allowed to be kept on lockers overnight. The YMCA is not responsible for
lost or stolen items. Please
do not bring valuables, cash, etc. with you the facility.
- Shirts
and shoes must be worn at all times.
- All
food and drinks must be consumed in the concession areas or tiled
lobby area.
- State
law requires a soap shower before and after using the pool,
whirlpool, sauna and steam room.
- Please
respect the YMCA and be considerate of others and wipe perspiration
off of the equipment in the Fitness Center
upon completing your workout.
- Lined
swimsuits required for pool and whirlpool. No cut-offs or gym shorts are
allowed in the pool or whirlpool.
- All
scheduled activities (times and fees) and/or staff may be changed or
cancelled at the discretion of the YMCA staff.
- A
medical examination is strongly recommended for all members/guests
and particularly necessary for embarking on a fitness class or
program or using the Fitness or Aquatic Centers.
- In
relation to the goals and philosophy of the YMCA, tobacco and
smoking is prohibited in or on the YMCA property.
- Each
member/guest participates at his/her own risk. The YMCA does not provide accident
insurance.
- Youth
age 13 years and under must leave the YMCA by 8:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday unless accompanied by a parent. If youth are attending 4th
& 5th Grade Party or Teen Center,
they must be picked at the appropriate times or be met with a suspension
of privilege to attend these programs.
- Inappropriate
conduct, disrespectful, abusive behavior, or profanity will not be
tolerated at all.
Members/guests may be asked to leave for the day and possible
extended period, with a possible loss of membership for repeated
incidents.
- Members
must have an up-to-date or current account before registering for a
program. Members cannot
register for a program if their account is past 60 days.
- Participants
must bring balance up to date and it cannot exceed 2 weeks or
children will not be allowed to participate.
- Goggles/masks
covering the eye area only will be permitted in the pool.
- All
youth must be 14 years of age or older to use the Wellness Center
by themselves. Youth 12 and
13 may use the area if they have been through the Jr. High Strength
Training Program, or if accompanied directly by a parent. Misuse of equipment or not
supervising children may result in parent and youth losing
membership privileges.
Special note: Children
11 years of age and under are not allowed in the Wellness Center. This includes parents with
pre-school age or toddler age children. Those children should be in Child
Care.

A Guest Pass, good for one day, may be used by an
individual or family no more than three times in a calendar year. Membership is required for further
facility usage.
Members of any other YMCA may
use the Christian County YMCA
by presenting a current membership card and paying half of the daily Guest
Pass fee at unlimited visits.

All memberships are on an annual basis, twelve
consecutive months, for one full year.
All memberships are expected to be honored unless conditions such
as major illness, surgery or moving away from Christian County,
unemployment or unforeseen major financial hardship occurs.

Membership Payment Plans
Full payment, monthly bank draft or monthly credit
card draft are accepted. Payment
may be made by cash, check, or major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, and Discover). A payment must be made at membership
registration to begin using the YMCA facility.

YMCA Membership & Program Payment Policy
- Any
member over 60 days delinquent in payment is considered terminated
and must pay a 90 day balance plus joining fee before renewing
membership.
- Most
financial institutions offer convenient, easy monthly bank drafts.
- Bank
draft memberships renew automatically at the end of twelve months
unless the YMCA membership office receives notice of cancellation
before the end of the twelve-month commitment.
- There
is a $20.00 service charge on all returned bank drafts and returned
checks due to insufficient funds.
- The
YMCA reserves the right to make necessary membership or program rate
or fee adjustments at any time.
- All
program fees are to be paid at registration with the exception of
pre-school, after school and summer day camp, which must be paid
weekly.
