Parties and Rentals
Birthday Parties
Celebrate your special day at the YMCA with two hours of fun! Parties are reserved for 10 children. Rental includes 90 minutes of pool or gym usage (not private rental). For the final 30 minutes of the party, attendees will gather in the concession area. A $50 down payment is required to secure your date. This amount applies to your total and is refundable up until 48 hours before the party. A credit card must also be on file for the birthday party even if the method of payment is cash.
Please contact the YMCA at 217-287-7271 two weeks in advance to reserve the time and date for your party.
Rules:
As of March 1, 2023 all parties must be booked in person.

- Person booking the party must be a Christian County YMCA member to get the member price. Members can only book parties for family members. They are responsible for gathering everyone in the viewing area and going into the Aquatic Center as a group.
- You may bring cake, cupcakes, or treats for the party. These can be enjoyed during the 30-minute period in the concession area.
- Treat bags are permitted but must be dispersed at the end of the party. Latex balloons are welcome, but we ask to please refrain from glitter, silly string, or confetti.
- Person booking the party is responsible for getting everyone to the concession area on time. Party must exit the area at the end of their concession time.
- If you have children under the age of 8, there must be one adult present in the water for every 4 children in this age range. Children under 5 years must be within arms reach of an adult at all times.
- Everyone entering the pool must wear a swimsuit. Rash guard, surf, and water shirts are acceptable but all regular cotton t-shirts must be white.
- ONLY Coast Guard approved life jackets are acceptable. Children with life jackets are not allowed down our big slide.
- Inflatables and inflatable water-wings are not allowed.
- Children 6 years old and younger are not allowed in the hot tub, steam room, or dry sauna. Children must be 16 years old to use these adult facilities by themselves.
- In order to ride the Big Blue slide, one must be taller than 42″. Catching children off of our slide is prohibited. Children must be able to exit plunge area independently.
- Our interactive area is designed for children under 7 years old. Larger children may be asked to leave the area if they become disruptive.
- A down payment of $50 is due upon booking the party. This payment is refundable up until 48 hours before the party.
- The total balance is due before departing the Y, the day of the party.
- All YMCA Rules and Regulations will be enforced.
Birthday Party Pricing
- Members: $100.00 for 10 children; $6 for each additional child (up to 20 children)
- Non-member: $175.00 for 10 children; $8 for each additional child (up to 20 children)
- A mandatory $25 cleaning fee will be charged in addition to the total cost.
Birthday Party Packages
Pool Party
Have a splashing good time in our Aquatic Center! Your group can enjoy the Interactive Play Area (for ages 7 and under), the Big Blue 104 ft. Water Slide, and the Lazy River. Pool time will be followed by a 30-minute room reservation for presents and refreshments.
Gym Party
Celebrate in our gymnasium, featuring 4 basketball courts with adjustable hoop heights, volleyball, and pickleball. Enjoy 90 minutes of gym time followed by a 30-minute room reservation for presents and refreshments.
Open Hour Pool Rentals
The Y offers Open Hour Rentals for schools, churches, service clubs, and organizations during regular YMCA operational hours. Your group can enjoy up to three hours of swimming, basketball, volleyball, XBox Kinect, ping-pong and air hockey fun. If party is not scheduled during Family Swim Time, the water features can be requested for an additional fee. A $30 non-refundable administration fee is required.

Private Rentals
Enjoy access to the Athletic Center, Aquatic Center, and activity spaces when you rent the YMCA for your next gathering! Private rentals are available during non-operating hours.
Non-Refundable Administration Fee: $750
Due when party is booked. Date will only be saved once fee is paid. This includes 2 hours of facility and Aquatic Center usage.
Each Additional Hour:
$200 (1-150 guests)
$300 (151-250 guests)
- The minimum private building rental is 2 hours. The maximum private building rental is 6 hours.
- The rental will include the usage of the Family Aquatic Center (2 hours) with slide, lazy river, and interactive features; Activity Center with pickleball, basketball, and volleyball courts; Racquetball/Wallyball Courts; Youth Lobby with ping pong and air hockey tables; and locker rooms.
- The Wellness Center and concession stand area are excluded.
- There must be one adult chaperone for every 10 children.
- The rental group is responsible for any broken or damaged equipment during the rental.
- All groups renting the facility overnight must have a copy of a Special Events Insurance Policy returned with the application upon registration.
